Featured Project
This month's project is a reminder that sometimes the most needed and appreciated renovation doesn't have to be the biggest. We all have that special place in our home where we like to get away from it all. Some people escape in the kitchen while cooking and others relax in the bathroom, office or living room. Is the place where you like to unwind truly all that you wish it to be?

A client in Sellwood decided it was time for his master bathroom to receive a makeover and become a little more special. Some of the featured from that project were:
  • Custom cabinets
  • Granite slab counters with under-mount sink
  • Mud-set tile shower with mosaic accents
  • Designer fixtures

Ask the Builders
QUESTION: I'd like to remove a couple interior walls in my home but I was told by people that it's not a good idea or that it cannot be done in my case. How realistic is this?

ANSWER: Removing or relocating a wall can be a great way to drastically change a room's look, feel and function. The good news is that these renovations are possible. However, the complexity of the overall project will depend on exactly which wall(s) you're talking about. It can become a bit tricky because most interior walls conceal things like electrical wire and plumbing pipes--not to mention that some are bearing a structural load! Since most of these caveats aren't easy to spot right off the bat, it's a good idea to have some professionals take a look.

If you've been entertaining the idea of removing a wall or have other questions you'd like to ask, contact us!
